The composition shows the effect of varying shutter speed on night photography. The photographs show Greenwich, London, and the green laser beam emitted by the Greenwich observatory to indicate the Greenwich meridian. The image was taken from the Thames path, facing the observatory from the north-west. The captions indicate the number of seconds the shutter was open for.
